Treatments
Replacing missing teeth and rebuilding worn ones — fixed or removable, tooth- or implant-supported.
Prosthetic dentistry restores what is missing or badly broken down. That may be a single crown on a root-treated tooth, a bridge spanning a gap, a removable denture, or a full arch carried on implants.

The choice is not only about the gap. It depends on how many teeth are missing and where, the condition of the remaining teeth and bone, how you bite, and what you can maintain at home. At İzmir Dent this planning is done by a prosthodontics specialist.
Examination of the remaining teeth, gums, bone and bite, with radiographs — and treatment of any decay or gum disease first.
The type of prosthesis is chosen and, where relevant, tried in wax or digitally so shape and bite can be checked before production.
Teeth are prepared where needed and a conventional or digital impression is taken. Temporary restorations are fitted in the meantime.
The prosthesis is tried in, the bite is adjusted, and it is fitted. Removable work usually needs one or two adjustment visits.
Fixed work feels most like natural teeth, but it needs enough sound teeth or implants to carry it. Removable work is possible in almost every situation and costs less.
A well-made ceramic crown is matched to the shade, translucency and surface texture of the neighbouring teeth. Shade is chosen in daylight, with you present.
An immediate denture is possible, but the gum shrinks as it heals, so a reline or a new denture is usually needed after a few months.
This page is general information, not a diagnosis. Treatment planning is only possible after a clinical examination and radiographs at the clinic.
