01Who is responsible for your data

We are established in Türkiye and process personal data under the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK). Because we also treat patients who live in the European Union and the United Kingdom, we apply the standards of the GDPR and the UK GDPR to their data as well.

02What we collect

The Appointment Request form and the WhatsApp panel are the only places on this site where you can type anything. Both collect exactly four things:

• your name,
• your telephone number, together with the country code you pick,
• the treatment or treatments you select,
• the message you write.

There is no e-mail field, no date of birth, no address field and no payment field anywhere on this website.

If your message describes a complaint, a diagnosis or a treatment you have had, that is health data — a special category of personal data under KVKK art. 6 and GDPR art. 9. Please send only as much as we need in order to answer you.

03How the forms actually work — please read this

The forms on this site do not send anything to a server of ours. When you press the send button, your browser assembles what you typed into a WhatsApp message and opens WhatsApp. You then decide whether to send it. Until you press send inside WhatsApp, we have received nothing at all.

• The message travels through and is stored by WhatsApp (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) under Meta’s own terms and privacy policy.
• It arrives at the clinic’s WhatsApp account on +90 553 954 35 30.
• WhatsApp messages are end-to-end encrypted between you and us, but Meta still processes the surrounding information such as your number and the time you wrote.

If you would rather not use WhatsApp, write to info@izmirdent.com or telephone the clinic on +90 232 254 61 11. Nothing on this site obliges you to use WhatsApp.

04Why we use your data, and on what legal basis

05Cookies and browser storage

This website sets no advertising and no analytics cookies. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no advertising tag and no visitor-tracking script on it.

The only thing the site itself stores in your browser is a single entry named "waKapali". It is written when you close the WhatsApp panel, so that the panel does not open by itself again on your next visit. Its value is the character "1" and nothing more. You can delete it at any time from your browser settings.

The third-party services listed in the next section may set their own cookies when their content loads. The embedded Google map is the main one.

06Other companies whose servers this site contacts

Some parts of the page are loaded from other companies. When your browser fetches them, your IP address and basic browser information reach those companies. This is the complete list:

The links to our Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X and LinkedIn pages are ordinary links. Nothing is loaded from those platforms, and they learn nothing about you, unless you click.

07Transfers outside Türkiye

We are established in Türkiye. The companies listed above process data outside Türkiye, mainly in the European Union and the United States. For patients in the EU and the UK, those transfers rely on the standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards published by each provider.

We do not sell, rent or exchange your personal data with anyone, and we never use it for advertising.

08How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not lead to treatment are kept only for as long as we need them to answer you, and are then deleted.
• Clinical records of patients we treat are kept for the period required of patient files by Turkish health legislation.
• Anything you sent us by mistake is deleted as soon as you ask.

09Your rights

Under KVKK art. 11 and, where it applies to you, GDPR articles 15 to 22, you may:

• find out whether we hold personal data about you, and ask for a copy;
• have inaccurate data corrected, and ask us to tell any third party about the correction;
• ask for your data to be deleted or anonymised;
• withdraw your consent at any time, which stops any further processing based on it;
• object to processing based on legitimate interest;
• receive your data in a portable form (EU and UK patients);
• claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.

Write to info@izmirdent.com or to the postal address above. We answer within 30 days under KVKK, and within one month under the GDPR. We may first ask you to confirm who you are — that check exists to protect your data, not to delay your request.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu, kvkk.gov.tr). Patients in the EU or the UK may instead complain to the supervisory authority of their own country.

10Security

The site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Because its forms store nothing on our web server, there is no patient database attached to this website that could be breached.

Clinical records created during treatment are held on clinic systems that only authorised staff can reach, and every member of that staff is bound by medical professional secrecy.

11Children

This website is not directed at children. Treatment of a patient under 18 is arranged with a parent or legal guardian. If the appointment is for a child, please make the request yourself as the parent or legal guardian, under your own name and telephone number, or simply telephone the clinic.

12Changes to this policy

The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. If we make a change that affects your rights, we will say so on this page.
